I hail from Tartous, Syria, a once sleepy little town on the eastern edge of the Mediterranean. As a world voyager, I’ve sailed through calm and rough seas and saw the wonders of nature and of humans with the eyes of my mind. Eventually, I made it back to the only home I know of.

Peace, ultimately, is a dream but not on the account of my honor and dignity. I look forward all humans, no exceptions, living in equality and justice. I aspire for democracy as well but that is third on my list. I savor the simple pleasures in life and I deride the greedy and psychotically ambitious.

I have no message to give, no political affiliation to follow and no religious indoctrination to dictate my way of life. I have a very low opinion of elected and self-appointed demagogues. I love almost everybody. I only hate politicians, preachers and liars (do forgive the redundancy inherent in the last sentence).

Do I have a favorite quotation? What about this one by Cleveland Amory: “I can’t take a well-tanned person seriously“.

This is my blog where I scribble as I please. And by the way, although I’m not evenly tanned, I never took myself seriously. Welcome on board!
